HOW TO BUY A FRIDGE FREEZER....

THERE are a bewildering number of fridge freezer models available to buy today so here is some advice on what characteristics to look out for before you decide which fridge freezer model to buy.

• ENERGY EFFICIENCY - this is the most important criterion. Fridge Freezers are always switched on so use large amounts of electricity over their lifetime. • CAPACITY AND RELATIVE SIZES OF FRIDGE AND FREEZER COMPARTMENTS- it is generally more convenient to have the fridge part at the top and the freezer part at the bottom so most fridge freezer models have this arrangement but models with freezers above the fridge are available. Size/Capacity is obviously an important criterion and this is of course restricted by the space available and there is the added variable of the relative size of the fridge and freezer compartments.
